Department of Physical Education & Sports was established in the session 2005-06 to promote physical education and develop an interest among the people regarding the need and importance of sports to improve the community health. Since 2005 the department has been participating in the Inter Collegiate and other major sports activities at university, district and state levels. The department has also rich experience of organizing Inter College, Inter departmental sports activities and different National, State& departmental seminars and workshops.
The Department offers facilities for sports activities like Athletics, Football, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Yoga, Volleyball, Badminton & Fitness Centre. The Department of Physical Education believes in holistic development of students. Various courses & campsare conducted by the department such as First-Aid Training Camp, Bratachary Training Camp, Health Awareness Camp &Rock-Climbing Course.
Department of Physical Education contributes directly to the development ofphysical competence and fitness. It also helps students to understand the value of leading an activephysical lifestyle.
